BitPay is one of the oldest and most recognised names in crypto payment processing, founded in 2011, and often the first gateway operators search for. It supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, a handful of stablecoins, and select altcoins, with fiat settlement available to many merchants. However, BitPay is a custodial processor with a restrictive Acceptable Use Policy, and adult content merchants face a real risk of account freeze or denial.
Operators in the adult space should treat BitPay as a fallback for existing crypto-native customers - not a primary gateway. It works better for adjacent businesses (hosting, domains, tools) than for direct adult-content transactions where its AUP enforcement is a documented hazard.
